Once again Link-Friday is upon us. It seems like it’s been only a couple of days since the last time that I was blogging a Link-Friday post… Oh, wait, it was. Well… On that note… Here we go!
Our first link is a video link revisiting something that occurred nearly four decades ago – the D. B. Cooper case. For those who were too young to be born when this occurred, let me just say that D. B. Cooper hijacked an airplane and demanded $200,000 in ransom money. He then parachuted out of the plane as it flew him to a new destination. It’s the only unsolved hijacking case in the United States. New evidence surfaced a few years ago and this link talks about the potential closing of the case:

Our next link refers us back to a time when humans made physical models of new concepts instead of tweaking everything on a computer. One of my hobbies has been following all things related to the space program. Spaceflight has always been one of man’s greatest achievements and this link takes us to the days when models were used to explore concepts of the future:
Link number three is one that scares the pants off of me. Note to self: do not disparage anybody on your blog if it will somehow involve the Oregon courts. In Oregon, a blogger is not considered a journalist and therefore does not have the same rights as a member of the press would – and it cost this blogger $2,500,000.00. Wow. I’ve included a second link to the AP story about this:
<< Please note, the AP link is now defunct and there has been new developments concerning this post that totally bother me. I have deleted the AP link. Please see my Links-R-Us, Vol. 16 post for the updated information about this. >>

Our next link is about a Mythbusters experiment gone horribly wrong. We all love the antics of Jamie, Adam and the rest of the crew, but this time they aimed a huge cannonball at something and missed. The cannonball (despite being launched at a firing range) soared through a local neighborhood; going thru a house, glancing off a roof and destroying a mini-van. This seems to be their first major mishap that has occurred:
My final link this week is to an article about a Christmas wreath manufacture. This company used to send just their extra wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery to be placed on the graves of soldiers. Over the years this simple act of kindness has ballooned to over 200,000 wreaths being placed all across America – 100,000 of them going to Arlington this year:
And, with that amazing final link of the day, we once again bid adieu to Link-Friday. Have a great weekend!
