Links-R-Us, Vol. 10

Welcome to another Link-Friday!  I was looking at the list of links that I keep on the back burner and noticed that the list is, like, huge!  When I first started to compile links for Link-Friday I would always have a hard time coming up with five (why I chose five I will never know…).  Now I’m having a hard time whittling the list down to five.  So, welcome to our first Link-Friday Link Clearinghouse!  So, I’m going to spit out as many one or two liners and links as will fit in this little post.  So, with luck on my side, here goes…
Our first link is one I wished that I had known about for the holidays – making home-made candles out of citrus fruit.  Here are a couple of links to it:
Following up my New Year’s Resolution post from a little while ago I have the following link with suggestions at how to be successful.
This link takes us to a story about a less intelligent individual who seriously thought he could con the local Wal-Mart into accepting a $1,000,000.00 bill.  Yea, good luck with that…
We now turn our attention to the Lake Superior State University 2012 list of words that should be banned from the English language.  They’ve been doing this annually since 1976.
The force is strong in Florida!  Here are two links to people who were breaking the law while dressed up in Star Wars masks.  Tasered Vader and Gang-Banger Chewbacca.
One of the websites that I follow is Lifehacker.  They are a hodge-podge of tips and tricks for everything from computers to phones to household ideas.  Here is their year end best of 2011 list.
Our next pair of links is about a Royal Marine that was killed in battle and left part of his life insurance money to the members in his unit to go party in Las Vegas to celebrate his life.
This next link is to a story about an ex-husband suing the person who had the affair with his ex-wife that led to the break-up of their marriage.  Apparently there are only seven states that allow a person to file such a lawsuit.
Our next link is to the Find-A-Grave website.  This is a website that I just recently discovered that has a lot of death records from cemeteries and headstones.  I like this new resource for genealogy information.
The last link I’ll leave us with is one that is dear to my heart.  My first computer was a Commodore 64 and it just turned thirty this week.  Here’s a couple of links about the history of the machine and its’ importance.
Wow!  Ten whole links for Link-Friday Link Clearinghouse.  That’s a lot more than I thought I would get through.  And yet, there is still so many more to do.  So, on that note, I’ll leave you until next time.  Have a great weekend!
